Misc. Notes
Breitkopf & Härtel published only a condensed score stating that the work is "Für zwei Singstimmen mit oder ohne Begleitung des Pianoforte" ("for 2 voices, with or without piano accompaniment"). This is erroneous, however. As mentioned in both the Deutsch Catalogue and the Neue Schubert-Ausgabe, the 1st version is for voice and piano, and the 2nd version is for two voices a capella (compare with the Neue Schubert-Ausgabe score).
