I have done this study to practice planting as explained by Pepe Romero and Scott Tennant. Fingers ami do sequential planting. The thumb in the ascending arpeggio uses the rest stroke, to plant on the next string and be ready to play the next note, you will see this if you try to play this study, good luck.
