The manuscript served as the printing template for the edition by B. Schott’s Söhne. Parts of it are in Vieuxtemps’s own hand (p. 4 = the second part of the theme in its entirety; the complete violin part starting with Variation 2; pp. 13 and 14 in their entirety).
