The strings should be tuned to B-F♯-D-A. This score is notated as if the bottom two strings were really C-G. All notes played on the 3rd or 4th strings will actually show not the actual sound but the placement of the fingers in their usual position and will therefore sound a 1/2 step lower than printed in the score.
