Obviously, the arranger was not Joseph (aged 2 in 1636) but Pierre III Chabanceau de La Barre. The accompaniment is not a continuo part, but a complete keyboard one. In Mersenne treatise here https://vmirror.imslp.org/files/imglnks/usimg/5/51/IMSLP77452-PMLP156089-MersenneM_HarmUniv_Pt2_09.pdf there is absolutely none of the delirious ornaments of the above edition.
