A Blazing Son, a rondo for Double Bass and Piano, is a neo-classical paraphrase freely adapted from the keyboard Sonata in B minor, Wq 55:3/ H 245 by Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach. The work makes a lyrical, recital piece for double bass and piano. My piano score is presented in two keys to accommodate a double bass with either orchestral or solo tuning (A-E-B-F#). Orch. or solo tuning.
