"At the request of the Publisher L. Hoffarth in Dresden, Jensen later edited an edition of the work for deep voice. It is not merely transposition into other keys, but brings a number of changes. The way in which Jensen especially adapted the accompaniment of the Linden song to the deep sound of the voice, here lifting the dense fabric, and there applying a stronger shade, testifies again to his artistic care and subtlety."
